The exam for IBPS RRB Office assistant Prelims consists of 2 sections – Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The total duration of the exam is 45 minutes. Each section consists of 40 questions.

The mains, however consists of 5 sections namely quantitative aptitude, reasoning, general awareness, Hindi/English (pick one) and computer with a composite time of 2 hours.
